Locality and Free Particles 7 3 Renormalized Perturbation 15 1

چکیده
Several aspects of the manifestation of the causality principle in LQP (local quantum physics) are reviewed or presented. Particular emphasis is given to those properties which are typical for LQP in the sense that they do go beyond the structure of general quantum theory and even escape the Lagrangian quantization methods of standard QFT. The most remarkable are those relating causality to the modular Tomita-Takesaki theory, since they bring in the basic concepts of antiparticles, charge superselections as well as internal and external (geometric and hidden) symmetries.

متن کاملRenormalized perturbation Theory: a missing chapter
Why a talk on Renormalized Perturbation Theory (RPT) in 2008? The consensus established in the 70’s under the acronym BPHZ is part of elementary particle physicists’ theoretical equipment. Yet, the corresponding literature is hard to penetrate for a mind endowned with good logical connections typically that of a professional mathematician. This state of affairs may be assigned, in parts, to som...
متن کاملImproving lattice perturbation theory.
Lepage and Mackenzie have shown that tadpole renormalization and systematic improvement of lattice perturbation theory can lead to much improved numerical results in lattice gauge theory. It is shown that lattice perturbation theory using the Cayley parametrization of unitary matrices gives a simple analytical approach to tadpole renormalization, and that the Cayley parametrization gives lattic...

Perturbative expansion in the nonperturbative confining QCD background is formulated. The properly renormalized α S (R) is shown to be finite at large distances, with the string tension playing the role of an infrared regulator. The infra–red renormalons are shown to be absent in the new perturbation series.
متن کاملUCSD/PTH 95-20 The Shape of the Renormalized Trajectory in the Two-dimensional O(N) Non-linear Sigma Model
The renormalized trajectory in themulti-dimensional coupling parameter space of the two-dimensional O(3) non-linear sigma model is determined numerically under δ-function block spin transformations using two different Monte Carlo renormalization group techniques. The renormalized trajectory is compared with the straight line of the fixed point trajectory (fixed point action) which leaves the as...
